Both a ceiling GPI and a wall GPI are intended to provide an appealing, evenly lit graphic to soothe the patient.
Neither GPI should be used as a primary light source as the brightness is reduced to make the graphic faceplate look good.
A ceiling GPI has a 6" depth and can only be up to 4' x 4', whereas the wall GPI is just 2.5" deep and can be up to 4' x 9'.
In order to smoothly illuminate the graphical faceplate, the wall GPI has more LEDs running at lower currents.
